Dr. Jon Mason grew up on a ranch in Newark, Illinois where he was raised riding and working with horses. His family runs an equine therapeutic charity that assists individuals with physical and cognitive special needs, entirely for free. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Bio-Inorganic Chemistry from Benedictine University where he did a three-year capstone project on the enzymatic activity of horse heart myoglobin, funded by the American Chemical Society. He then went on to complete his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at UW-Madison, graduating in 2022. Dr. Mason has particular interest in podiatry, lameness, and physical rehabilitation. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, fishing, and spending time outdoors with his significant other, Savannah.
