Dr. Christianna Stang-Helf grew up in the Catskill mountains region of New York State. She graduated from Penn State with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Sciences and minor concentration in Wildlife and Fisheries Science. Dr. Stang-Helf spent 10 years working as a veterinary technician in a small animal hospital in State College before moving across the pond to attend veterinary school. She studied veterinary medicine and surgery at the University of Glasgow in Scotland. While in vet school, she completed externships in Scotland, South Africa, and Florida and worked with a wide variety of species. She was also very active in the planning committee for “Rodeo” – the university’s largest student run charity event. Dr. Stang-Helf is a member of the Royal Veterinary College, the AVMA, the PVMA, and is a certified Fear Free Practitioner. She currently resides in South Williamsport with her husband and their two sons, two coonhounds, and three cats. She enjoys cooking, crafting, cross-country skiing, and spending time with family and friends.
