Dr. Erwin has more than a decade of experience in conducting quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research to develop and improve teaching and learning methods and strategies at the state- and institutional level. Much of her research and publications to date have focused upon remedial math education, specifically the co-requisite approach to math remediation, and student success within community colleges. At the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Erwin conducts research to assess the efficacy of the Competency-based Veterinary Education (CBVE) curriculum and various teaching methods and strategies. She currently serves as an adjunct instructor within the LSU College of Human Sciences and Education, with teaching interests including education policy, curriculum design & assessment, and leadership in higher education. Her research and teaching interests are diverse, reflecting her broad expertise in educational analytics and policy.
