Brooke Schindler graduated from Virginia Tech with her B.S. in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise in 2017 then received her DVM from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. She practiced at a mixed animal clinic upon graduation before deciding to return to Blacksburg, VA. Brooke’s interests include emphasizing the importance of the veterinarian-client-patient relationship and the human-animal bond. She feels communication is one of the most important factors in providing the best care to each patient and helping each client feel empowered when making medical decisions for their animal. In her free time, Brooke enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, horseback riding, and cheering on the Virginia Tech Hokies. She also has two guinea pigs, Skip and Jiffy, as well as a ball python named Solomon. She looks forward to expanding her family and creating a backyard farm.
