Matt grew up on a small acreage just outside of Lennox, South Dakota. He was active in 4-H and FFA with the family’s horses and a few cows. He obtained a degree in Animal Science from South Dakota State University in 1998 and his doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University in 2003. Matt enjoys the challenges a mixed animal veterinarian faces. However, he has taken an interest in small animal surgery and medicine. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, along with their dogs and two cats. He also volunteers time with Pueblo County 4-H Foundation and recently became a district representative for Colorado Veterinary Medical Association. He joined Mesa Vet Clinic in June of 2003 and is a valuable asset to the clinic.
