David Hoe is a graduate of Penn State University where he studied Marketing while under an Army ROTC scholarship. Upon graduation, he married his college sweetheart, Lori, and together they moved to Columbus, Georgia, where he began his career as a Lieutenant in the Army. As a Platoon Leader, he led his troops on missions in Baghdad and Fallujah during the first year of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Upon returning from war, he earned his MBA from Auburn University, where Lori was also studying to become a veterinarian. Upon graduation, they moved to Charlotte, NC, where he began a career with a Fortune 500 company.
In 2013, he and Lori opened Main Street Veterinary Hospital, which paved a path for him to leave his corporate job and go full time developing new veterinary businesses. In 2018, David founded an innovative company called Mobile Veterinary Specialists (MOVES) that grew to over 33 veterinary surgeons, internists, and cardiologists. He transitioned out of the CEO role at MOVES in 2022 to free up more time to focus on developing more new hospitals within his VMI organization. He has two teenage boys, two dogs, two cats, and a passion for adventure travel.
