Dr. Brian Keller was born and raised in Medford, Minnesota. He attended pre-veterinary medicine at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls, where he was involved in various clubs as well as varsity wrestling. He then entered Veterinary School at the University of Minnesota, graduating in 1990. Dr. Keller has been a member of the Countryside Veterinary Clinic team ever since. His veterinary interests include orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, dermatology, and ophthalmology. While Dr. Keller spends most of his time in the clinic working with small animal clients, he also enjoys working with the farming community.
Dr. Keller and his wife, Debbie, have two children, Jon and Kathryn. Debbie just retired in 2020 from her teaching career at the River Falls Middle School, Jon works in the IT field in Eden Prairie, and Kat lives in Denver, Colorado, working as a CNA. The family has a full house of pets, including Hope, a Yorkshire Terrier who is the boss; Harli, a Yellow Lab; and Mikey and Pebbles, 17-year-old litter mates.
Dr. Keller enjoys most outdoor activities, including hunting, fishing, gardening, biking, beekeeping, and water skiing. He also helps out with the youth wrestling programs in New Richmond and enjoys watching sports, particularly the Minnesota Twins, Vikings, and Gophers [citation].
