Dr. Maloney is a native of Fairfield, Connecticut, where she grew up surrounded by animals. After a year of studying at the Universite Haute Normandie in France, Dr. Maloney graduated from the University of Connecticut. She attended veterinary school at the University of Minnesota. In 1992, she completed an internship at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
Prior to joining the North Hampton Animal Hospital in October 2000, Dr. Maloney practiced small animal medicine in Massachusetts and Maryland. She has an interest in behavior and internal medicine cases, and has also done some postgraduate study in the field of ophthalmology.
Dr. Maloney is an avid dog trainer, and is involved with breeding and training her Labradors to compete in obedience, agility, field, and the confirmation ring. She has certified therapy dogs and leads an active life with her Labradors. In her leisure time, she likes being outdoors, hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, and also enjoys attending the opera [citation].
