Saori was born in Japan and moved to California with her family thirteen years ago. She began working at Northwood Animal Hospital in 2007 as a kennel attendant and has since moved into the position of a veterinary assistant. She loves working here because of the fun, kind, and caring doctors and staff, as well as the warm atmosphere. She has a wonderful animal family, which consists of a Maltese/Poodle mix named "Kirby" and a Cocker Spaniel/Poodle mix named "Ricky." Northwood Animal Hospital is so grateful to have Saori as a part of their team. She brings a positive attitude and an incredible work ethic, which is very much appreciated by her fellow staff members. She worked in corporate medicine for a few years before joining the Northwood Animal Hospital team. Her favorite cases to work up are dermatology cases and mass removal surgeries. She was a previous member of 4-H and has raised goats, chickens, birds, dogs, and fish. She also used to volunteer at the Santa Ana Zoo. Although she cannot work on her favorite animals (dinosaurs), she is learning more about exotics each day [citation].
