Kristi M. Gannon received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Roger Williams College in Bristol, RI. She then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Iowa State University in Ames, IA. After completing her DVM, she participated in a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Oradell Animal Hospital. Additionally, she completed a residency in Emergency and Critical Care at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, MA. Kristi joined Oradell Animal Hospital in 2003. Her professional interests include trauma, toxicities, shock, coagulation disorders, emergency endoscopy, urogenital emergencies, respiratory emergencies, and heatstroke. She is affiliated with the New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association (NJVMA), the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS), and the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC). Kristi has published a paper titled "Resolution of spontaneous hemoabdomen secondary to peliosis hepatis following surgery and azithromycin treatment in a Bartonella species infected dog" in the Journal of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care [citation]. She enjoys providing exceptional care to patients and giving comfort and support to pets and their owners during times of crisis[3].
