Chelsea Nissen grew up in the Genoa school system before getting her undergraduate degree from Baldwin Wallace. While at Baldwin Wallace, Chelsea excelled both in the classroom and out, being captain of their volleyball team and earning Academic All American three years in a row while also being elected to the Academic Honor Society. From there, she attended The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating this year. Dr. Nissen developed an immediate love for and intense interest in the care of cattle and became certified in artificial insemination for cows.
Kay and Al Nissen of Williston, Ohio are her very proud parents. The love of her life is a beautiful lab mixed named Callie whom she rescued a few years ago. When she is not busy, Chelsea can be found enjoying snowmobiling and skiing during the snowy months and playing beach volleyball and rollerblading in the warmer months (she admits anything beach related is really up for a great time).
Dr. Nissen has been with the practice for four years; while she went to school, she would help the clinic with anything she could to learn more about the animals she so treasures. Her passion for veterinary medicine is contagious, and her love for all animals is amazing to see [citation].
