KC van Solinge was born and raised just down the 101 in Santa Maria, California. Her love for horses began at the young age of 4 when she had her first riding lesson. Dr. KC soon found her love for the sport of 3-day eventing. She competed in 3-day eventing competitions throughout high school and college. KC obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Fresno, before going on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences. While in veterinary school, KC was a member of the veterinary business management club, as well as secretary of the student chapter of AAEP, where she helped to organize bi-annual low-cost clinics to assist equestrian communities in the Los Angeles area. After graduation from veterinary school, Dr. KC accepted an internship position at Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center in Los Olivos, CA. During her internship, Dr. KC was able to get experience in almost all facets of equine medicine. Dr. KC’s professional interests include equine sports medicine and general practice as well as mixed animal medicine. In her spare time, you can find KC riding her horse Buggs, playing with her very cute dogs Toby and Tyson, and adventuring with her husband Jon [citation].
