Dr. Lisa M. Teixeira originally hails from Worcester, MA. She received her undergraduate degree from Mount Holyoke College in 1985. She moved to the South Shore after graduation from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. She worked at Hanson Animal Hospital until 2000 when she left to start a house call practice. In 2001, she purchased Pembroke Animal Hospital to preserve the independent small animal practitioner and allow pet owners a choice for their veterinary care. Under her ownership, Pembroke Animal Hospital has grown to a multi-doctor practice providing quality, progressive veterinary care. Dr. Teixeira continues to provide house call services for her clients. She lives in Pembroke with her husband Jay, three dogs, Cole, Panko, and Boris, as well as two cats, Bill and NB. She is an avid Patriots fan and season ticket holder since 1995 and participates in the 2-day, 39-mile Avon Walk for Breast Cancer each May. She also enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with family and friends [citation].
