Dr. Kimberley Beaubien was originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, and received her bachelor's degree in animal science from the University of Minnesota, College of Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resource Sciences. She had 12 years of veterinary technician experience with both large and small animals before pursuing her DVM degree. She attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her didactic training on the island of St. Kitts, West Indies. She had a special interest in small ruminants and held the positions of vice president and treasurer for the Small Ruminant Club while on the island. She was also very active in the Feral Cat Project during her schooling and continues to foster cats and kittens. Her clinical year was spent at Iowa State University, College of Veterinary Medicine where she had a special interest in emergency medicine. She was trained in Emergency Medicine at the Veterinary Emergency Group in Denver, Colorado, and has brought that knowledge to Pets Vet Animal Hospital [citation].
