Dr. Tracy Ridgeway grew up in Marcellus, a small, primarily agricultural community located in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York. She attained a Certificate in Surgical Technology from Onondaga Community College in 1986 followed by an Associate of Applied Science in Agriculture Science from the State University of New York at Morrisville in 1988. She then attended the University of Idaho, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science in 1992. She continued her education at the University of Idaho in a Master's Degree program in Bacteriology. Dr. Tracy earned a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1997 from Washington State University and received a Certification of Veterinary Acupuncture from Chi University in 2006, as well as completing the Food Therapy course. Dr. Tracy believes in educating her clients to ensure decisions are truly a team effort for their pet. She sees each patient as a unique individual and uses her broad-based knowledge to identify primary problems, treatment options, and customized care. Dr. Tracy and her partner, Shannon, began traveling to Arizona in 2001 to escape the snow of the Pacific Northwest. She was excited to find Petsvet Animal Hospital where the doctors and staff hold a similar philosophy for Holistic and Traditional treatment plans, and this spurred her to attain her Arizona license and join the practice. Dr. Tracy has over 40 years’ experience in the veterinary medical field and practiced Integrative Veterinary Medicine in the Post Falls, Idaho area for over 19 years. Her household includes two rambunctious special needs Australian Shepherds, Aylen and Sprout, and a lazy domestic shorthair cat, Vinnie.
