Dr. Jeffrey Pope is a 1992 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. While a veterinary student, he worked in the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary Emergency Clinic as a technician/nurse. Following graduation, Dr. Pope completed a one-year small animal rotating internship at the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, Canada. Dr. Pope relocated to western Pennsylvania in early 1994 and co-founded Allegheny Veterinary Emergency Clinic on Route 286 in Plum. He practiced there for seven years before opening Companion Animal Medical Center in 2002, which was later renamed to Pittsburgh East Animal Hospital located on 286 in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. Dr. Pope is known across western Pennsylvania for his assertive, yet compassionate care. His knowledge and experience with all types of animals extends far beyond what could be taught in school.
