Dr. Bretschneider received bachelor's degrees from Oregon State University and graduated from the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine. He met his wife, Dr. Keri, in veterinary school over a romantic brightly lit cat spay. Over the course of a couple of internships and various jobs, they were ready to move back to the Northwest. They were drawn to the Springfield/Eugene area and have been here since 2000. They love it here and now have 4 wonderful children that keep them very busy with soccer, basketball, rowing, hiking, biking, and all of the other activities that they do together as a family. In 2004, they joined Q Street Animal Hospital, combining all of their knowledge and experience to develop a practice that they feel best helps their patients and their families [citation].
