Martin was born and raised on a farm in Russellville. From a child, he has always been heavily involved in agriculture as his family raised both row crops and livestock. Martin still keeps his passion for farming alive as he has both a commercial fat cattle herd and registered Limousin cattle. He enjoys anything pertaining to agriculture from raising cattle to baling hay to fixing fence. He attended high school at Cole R-1 Russellville and then attended the University of Missouri-Columbia where he studied animal science. He graduated from The College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. After 5 years at a different practice, Martin decided to open his own business. In March of 1998, Quail Valley Veterinary Clinic opened its doors. Martin focuses mainly on large animal work, including both cattle and horses. He especially enjoys reproductive medicine [citation].
