Dr. Johnson received highest honors in her undergraduate degree from UC Santa Cruz in Conservation Biology and then graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. She has been working in general practice in the Bay Area ever since. Her professional interests include cases involving internal medicine, dermatology, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. She especially enjoys connecting with clients on a shared mutual interest; the human-animal bond and the maintenance of health and wellness of their pets.
Dr. Johnson continues to reside in her hometown of Santa Cruz with her family including her husband, two children, two cats Mittsy and Joey, and their entertaining rescue dog, Cali. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, hiking, running, swimming, domestic and international travel, nature photography, and spending time with friends and family.
She has a cat and two rabbits at home. Her sweet disposition helps the animals and their owners feel completely comfortable in her exam rooms. Whether your animal needs a general checkup or a more intensive procedure, Dr. Johnson will do whatever she can to ensure that the animal is happy and healthy [citation][5].
