Dr. Crystal Warming is originally from Northwest Iowa. Her father owned and operated a small animal veterinary clinic for over 40 years. Growing up, she had a close bond with her numerous dogs, cats, and guinea pigs, but didn't initially intend to be a veterinarian like her father. It wasn't until college that she realized the veterinary profession was the perfect fit for her, combining her interest in medicine with her strong love of animals. She received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Iowa State University in 2010 and then graduated with honors from veterinary school in 2014 through the same university.
She fell in love with all the Twin Cities area has to offer during trips to visit her sister who has lived in the area for many years. She started her career at a small animal practice in Minnesota and worked there for seven years before joining the team at RRAH. Dr. Warming has a passion for all areas of small animal Veterinary Medicine, but especially enjoys soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and dermatology. She is a strong proponent of Fear Free techniques and works to make each and every one of your pet’s visits as stress-free as possible.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Warming enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her husband, two energetic young daughters, and her incredibly goofy Basset Hound, Hugo. As a family, they enjoy doing anything outdoors (especially biking), cheering on their favorite sports teams, and finding new hidden gems in the Twin Cities. They also love to travel and visit family and friends whenever possible [citation].
