Dr. Swanda-Foley grew up on Long Island before moving to South Carolina in her early teen years. After graduating from North Myrtle Beach High School, she attended Auburn University for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. Her veterinary interests are internal medicine, ophthalmology, and dermatology. She and her husband, Bill, share their lives with 5 dogs, numerous chickens, several cats, and 2 obstinate geese. Dr. Swanda-Foley is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the South Carolina Association of Veterinarians, and the American Heartworm Society. She is also Human-Animal Bond Certified (Human Animal Bond Research Institute).
