Dr. Kate Della Bona grew up in the south bay area riding horses competitively, and attended UC Davis for her undergraduate education. After obtaining a degree in Animal Science, she taught and rode professionally at a show stable for 3 years prior to heading abroad for veterinary school at the University of Glasgow in Scotland.
After returning from Scotland, Kate completed a one year internship in emergency, medicine and surgery at the VCA Emergency Animal Hospital and Referral Center in San Diego, CA. She started her first associate position at a busy general practice outside of Denver, CO but she missed California and moved back in 2021.
Since returning to California, Kate has been working as an associate veterinarian in Marin County. Her clinical interests include preventative care and veterinary dentistry. Her goal is for her patients to live long and happy lives and to promote owner understanding and involvement in every aspect of their pet’s care.
Kate lives in Petaluma with her husband and their miniature dachshund Ronan. In her spare time, she enjoys riding horses, hiking, traveling, and of course pampering Ronan.
