Dr. Stanek received her undergraduate BS degree in Biology from SUNY Geneseo, where she was on the Dean’s List consistently. She then attended Michigan State University, and received her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1996. During one of her summers off, Dr. Stanek worked at Seneca Animal Hospital as a Veterinary Assistant. After Veterinary School, she decided that Seneca Animal Hospital was the practice for her, and she has been here ever since.
Dr. Stanek is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the New York State Veterinary Medical Society, the American Animal Hospital Association, and Buffalo Academy of Veterinary Medicine. With a special interest in soft tissue surgeries, Dr. Stanek has also spent many days volunteering at the S.P.C.A. to perform spays and neuters. She has also volunteered her time at many Free Rabies Vaccine Clinics.
Currently, Dr. Stanek resides in Lancaster with her daughter Samantha. She also has an adorable DSH named Claire, and a beautiful Golden Retriever named Maizy. In her spare time, Dr. Stanek can be found taking bee classes, and is quite enjoying them. That is not surprising as she is an avid gardener and loves being outside. You can also find her cooking or baking, but that’s when she isn’t reading a good novel every chance she can get [citation].
