Dr. Shaffer grew up in the Fort Worth area and graduated from Haltom High School in 1991. She went on to earn her bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in 1995. Her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine was obtained from Oklahoma State University in 2003. She has practiced in emergency medicine and private practice since 2003 and started her own practice, Shaffer Veterinary Services, PLLC, in 2006.
