Dr. Ashley Steuer earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She has a special interest in veterinary parasitology, ophthalmology, and soft tissue surgery, and taught veterinary parasitology from 2015 to 2021. Dr. Steuer takes pride in being empathetic and compassionate towards her patients, clients, and coworkers alike. She loves working toward success as a team and continues to have a passion for education, whether as a student or a teacher. Outside of her veterinary work, she enjoys running a small sheep and horse ranch with her husband, Anthony. Dr. Steuer loves to read, learn new recipes, play the occasional video game, trail ride, train horses, crochet, do photography, and play music on the flute. A fun fact about Dr. Steuer is that she collects flutes and mugs. Her beloved pets include three horses (Jewels, a Chincoteague Pony; Mo Cuisle, an OTTB; and Mo Uisce Beatha, an Appendix QH), four dogs (Maiya, an SF Maltese; Alaria, an SF Yorkie; Beyla, an SF Anatolian Shepherd; and Jormangandr, an IM Anatolian Shepherd), one black cat (Salt, a DLH NM), and twelve chickens.
