Hattiesburg native Dr. Katy graduated from Hattiesburg High School in Hattiesburg, MS. She attended Sewanee: The University of the South in Sewanee, TN, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Biology. She then worked in Lexington, KY at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital as a surgery technician. She then attended Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine where she received her doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. After graduation, she was a relief veterinarian in the Mobile area. She, along with Dr. Craig, opened Singing River Animal Clinic. Drs. Craig and Katy have 5 children, Ethan, Caroline, Benjamin, Isabelle, and Julia. They also have a small farm consisting of cows, mules, chickens, goats, dogs, and cats [citation].
