Dr. Fotios Bris is a Staff Veterinarian at Small Door. He takes a special interest in general practice, preventative medicine, shelter medicine, internal medicine, allergies/dermatology, soft tissue surgery, and epidemiology. He attended the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece, where he received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. Afterwards, he continued his studies, completing a field study and thesis, leading to a Masters of Science degree in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Bris is licensed to practice in both Europe and the United States. He has spent the majority of his career in private practice, but also has an interest in shelter medicine and has spent time working with the Animal Care Centers of New York City. He is also an ASPCA Guardian. Dr. Bris is an advocate for providing high-quality medicine, and is committed to staying current with the latest guidance on effective treatments and therapies. He believes in establishing good communication and collaboration between doctors and pet parents to create the best long-term outcomes for our animals.
