Dr. Smith graduated from Vina High School in 2006. Following graduation, she attended Mississippi State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2010. She continued her education and received a second Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Technology in 2012. Dr. Smith achieved her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2016.
Dr. Smith has practiced veterinary medicine in New Albany and Holly Springs, Mississippi. She has special interests in the areas of soft tissue surgery and internal medicine cases. She also enjoys getting out of the office periodically to provide farm calls. Dr. Smith is a member of the Mississippi Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Married since 2011 to her husband, Daniel, Dr. Smith’s family also includes two daughters, Finley and Emma. Their pet family consists of three dogs, Abby, a Terrier mix, Riley, a mini Australian Shepherd, and Duke, a Labradoodle. The Smiths also have two cats, Possum and Tiger, and too many pygmy goats.
When not working or running a business, Dr. Smith enjoys being outside, spending time with family, traveling, coaching, and watching her daughters play basketball and softball. She also loves spending time with her pygmy goats.
