Dr. Wilcox, a valley native and 1994 graduate of THE Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, has been practicing medicine for 24 years. She has spayed or neutered close to 100,000 animals in her career, including horses, donkeys, zebra, zorse, cattle, sheep, pigs, llamas, alpacas, bison, camels, wolves, exotic cats, and even a bear. In 2009, she performed over 6,000 spay and neuter surgeries at SVSNC, and since the clinic opened in late 2007, she has done over 30,000 successful surgeries. Dr. Wilcox participates in continuing education classes annually, completing core classes in shelter medicine updates, minimally invasive surgery, and pediatric spay-neuter updated techniques.
