Reed has been around animals his entire life and enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine. Dr. Hanks was raised on a ranch in Deer Trail, CO. He graduated from Deer Trail High School and enrolled at Colorado State University. Dr. Hanks attained a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences in 1988 and earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. Dr. Hanks joined the Strasburg Veterinary Clinic in 1992. After practicing on the corridor for 23 years, Dr. Hanks and his wife, Tonya, purchased the practice in July of 2015. Reed has been around animals his entire life and enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine. Dr. Hanks is very experienced with cattle, horses, dogs, and cats. He enjoys surgery and the diversity that comes with working in a rural setting. Reed and Tonya have two grown children, Roice and Kaitlyn. Both are college students and help out at the clinic and on the ranch when they are home. In his spare time, Reed enjoys spending time at his ranch, hanging out with his 2 dogs, and watching sports.
