Aliah Meza began her career at The Marine Mammal Center in 2016 as a Rescue and Response Intern at the San Luis Obispo triage facility. Later in 2017, she joined the staff where she has held various roles supporting ocean conservation through marine mammal rescue and rehabilitation, research, and education. Previously, Aliah volunteered at the Pacific Marine Mammal Center in Laguna Beach for three years, where she learned how to rescue and rehabilitate marine mammals in need. Aliah received her bachelor’s degree in marine biology from the University of California at Santa Cruz. She resides in San Luis Obispo, California, and enjoys watching movies at the drive-in with her family and friends.
