Geoffrey Berthiaume grew up in New Hampshire and always had a great interest in animals of all sorts, including birds, insects, and reptiles. He attended Keene State College in New Hampshire, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Biology, graduating Magna Cum Laude. While in college, he worked as a park ranger for the Army Corps of Engineers and as a veterinary assistant at the Monadnock Region Humane Society. He attended Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, graduating as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. Following graduation, he took his first job in New Hampshire, caring for a variety of animals including cats, dogs, horses, sheep, rabbits, and even a bear cub He and Dr. Marzke then moved to Tempe, Arizona, where they have been practicing since 1997. Dr. Berthiaume is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), and the Arizona Veterinary Medical Association (AzVMA). In his free time, he enjoys hiking, gardening, refurbishing motorcycles, and spending time with his family.
