Dr. Jacqueline Hofer grew up in the Sierra Nevada foothills near Yosemite National Park on a working cattle and horse ranch. She attended the University of California Merced for her bachelor's degree and went on to Western University of Health Sciences for Veterinary School. After a one-year rotating equine internship in Texas, Dr. Hofer came to Monterey where she's called home for six years.
In her free time, Dr. Hofer enjoys hiking and trail running with her youngest dog, Verdot, and beach walks with her other two, Cru and Yogi. She may also be seen on her motorcycle and occasionally attends track days in a noncompetitive fashion. Her fur family includes a cute young Chihuahua mix, a young sweet Golden Retriever, and a sweet lovable cat that enjoys playing with the dogs. She has been practicing for 16 years and has special interests in various veterinary fields [citation].
