Since 1975, Dr. Ron Goeckner has been a veterinarian at Town & Country Animal Hospital. He grew up in Effingham, Illinois. In 1971 he graduated from Eastern Illinois University majoring in zoology and then went on to receive his D.V.M. from University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1975. He is an active member of the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) and the ISVMA (Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association). His greatest interest in the animal field is general medicine because of the vast variety. He now resides in Normal with his wife, two cats, Misty May and Precious Chloe, and his dog, Bella.
