Dr. Ferrera graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993 and has taken care of pets in Hillsborough County ever since. During her career, she has served as a shelter veterinarian and is currently teaching Animal Anatomy at Hillsborough Community College. At home, Dr. Ferrera enjoys spending time with her family, which includes husband Frank and two daughters, as well as five cats, an Indian Ringneck parrot, a leopard gecko, a guinea pig, a hermit crab, and a tank of fish [citation][5].
