Marketa James cares for pets in Oakland, CA at VCA Bay Area Animal Hospital. She has always wanted to work in this field since she was very young, in elementary school. Marketa grew up with many different pets. At first, she wanted to be a Veterinarian, but the more she learned, she realized that she likes doing more hands-on work with the animals instead of the doctor’s work. Marketa attended Cal Poly Pomona to get her Bachelor's degree in Animal Health Science so she could work as a Veterinary Technician.
