Dr. Johnson attended the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington and the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado for his undergraduate degrees before attending Colorado State University in Fort Collins for his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating in 1983, he, his wife Wanda, and their 3-month-old son moved to Upland, California to begin a career in private practice. Dr. Johnson continues to live in Upland with his wife of 31 years and their three grown children, two sons and one daughter. He has enjoyed coaching soccer and baseball teams with his children and was very involved with Boy Scouts [citation].
