Dr. Steven Berg earned his Bachelor's degree in Animal Science in 1975 from Pennsylvania State University. In 1978, he received his Master's degree in Endocrinology-Reproductive Physiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and in 1982, his Veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania. After practicing in Miami for 13 years, he opened VCA Pines West Animal Hospital in 1995. His special interests are internal medicine, dermatology, and oncology.
Dr. Berg has been married for 42 years to his high school sweetheart Michele, and they enjoy traveling, playing tennis, and especially spending time with their new granddaughter. He has a son and a daughter, and a Poodle named Oscar who he brings to work every day. "I can never see myself retiring, as there is no greater feeling than helping a sick pet get well and seeing the happiness on their parents' faces.
