Dr. Courtney Blohm works as an Associate DVM at our Minneapolis hospital. Her favorite part of her job is witnessing the animal and human bond and helping animals feel better whether they are sick or just feeling nervous at the vet. Her medical interests include internal medicine and behavior.
Before working at Vet Partners, Dr. Blohm completed her undergraduate degree in Animal Science and Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She completed her doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2014. She completed an internship in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care in 2015 at Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center. Dr. Blohm began working as an associate veterinarian in general practice after completing her internship, as she wanted to pursue her passion for preventative medicine.
In her free time, Dr. Blohm enjoys hiking with her husband and dogs, birding, listening to live music, and reading.
She grew up with a love of both animals and science that brought her down the path of studying to be a veterinarian. As she continued to learn more about the vet field, she enjoyed witnessing the human and animal bond each day. These interactions continue to inspire her in her work of keeping her patients healthy and supported.
Dr. Blohm’s favorite foods include pizza, jalapeno pimento cheese, and sweets of any kind. She particularly enjoys a good guitar solo and admires pictures of cute animals. Her favorite experience is traveling to new places and trying new foods. She also has a special fondness for baby animals.
Dr. Blohm has several pets: Stella, a gray DSH cat; Jilly Bean, a tuxedo DSH cat; Nigel, a Dachshund/Terrier Mix; and Clementine, a Pug/Poodle/Terrier Mix.
