Dr. Mallory Garcia is a native of Burnside, Louisiana (a small town between Baton Rouge and New Orleans). She attended Louisiana State University for undergraduate studies, graduating with College Honors in Animal Science. She then attended LSU SVM for veterinary school, where she trained in veterinary acupuncture at the Chi Institute. After graduating in May 2020, Dr. Garcia moved to Houston to minister to the diverse refugee population through the Faith Center Harwin, a ministry of Houston’s First Baptist Church, of which she is a member. Dr. Garcia is an active member and head chef of Delta, a chapter of the Summit young adult ministry at Houston’s First, where she enjoys social activities and Bible studies. Aside from her veterinary and church involvement, Dr. Garcia enjoys going on adventures (in and outside of Houston) with her two dogs, Jason a golden retriever and Darcie a shih tzu.
