Dr. Schlegel started in the veterinary field in 2017 as a veterinary assistant until she went away to London for veterinary school. She enjoys working with exotics as well as volunteering at APA during spay/neuter days. The most satisfying part of her career is educating owners about their pets to help improve their quality of life and to improve the general public’s veterinary knowledge. In her free time, she can be found cuddling her cat, Magnolia, going to live music concerts, traveling, hiking, and baking. She holds a BSc from Marist College and a BVetMed & MRCVS from the Royal Veterinary College of London [citation].
