Growing up, I never really imagined being a vet. I had pets growing up and showed pigs in high school, and in almost all of my pictures from when I am younger, I have some sort of animal in my hands. It wasn’t until our sweet old Weimeraner got sick that I realized how much of an impact vets have on not just the animals, but the people. That is what I love most about this career, is getting to love and serve my community by helping their four-legged kiddos feel better and stay healthy.
I graduated from Texas A&M with a bachelor’s in Animal Science in 2016 and with my Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in May of 2020 (Whoop). During that period, I worked from a kennel technician to a veterinary technician, which made me fall in love with the profession even more. I have gotten to learn from Dr. Walden throughout my training, and when the opportunity arose to work alongside her, I knew I could not pass up the offer.
When I am not doing veterinary medicine, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, and being outdoors. July 2022 our family grew by one when our daughter Kinsey arrived and now consumes most of my free time. On long weekends, we love weekend trips around Texas and spending time with family. I also have a huge passion for service work and veterinary missions.
I am ecstatic to be part of the Whitestone team. Cedar Park is my hometown, and I always knew I wanted to end up back in the area.
