Jane Currie Kaye grew up in Loudoun County and has been practicing veterinary medicine in the area since graduating from veterinary school. She is very committed to community involvement and has helped with projects such as the Pet Remembrance Candlelight Ceremony. She is a regular contributor for the Virginia-MD-Washington DC Dog Magazine and has been featured in an article on pet hospice and palliative care in Cat Fancy Magazine. Jane considers her clients and patients as extensions of her family and was honored and humbled to be listed in the “Best of Loudoun” poll in the past. Throughout her years of practice, she has become increasingly interested in combining superior medical skills with a more gentle, holistic approach to medicine. Her goal is to treat the whole pet and not just the symptoms of disease, aiming to provide the best possible quality of life for pets throughout all life stages. She desires to combine conventional medicine with Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and Rehabilitation techniques to provide comprehensive care for her patients. Jane also recognizes the strong human-animal bond and the need for more support in handling end-of-life issues, which led her to complete the Association for Pet Loss and Bereavement's training workshop for pet loss counselors. She is committed to offering pet hospice and palliative care as well as in-home euthanasia services for Loudoun County and the surrounding areas. Outside of her professional duties, Jane enjoys reading, painting, and drawing, and spending time with family and friends. Her family includes her husband, Jeremy, their dogs (Sam and Prudence), and cats (Amos, Oliver, Gladys, and Gracie).
