Dr. Franz received his DVM from Cornell University with Senior Awards in 1988 after graduating Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania. He opened Woodbury Animal Hospital in 1996 and has been supporting his clients and the community ever since. He has been involved with the Long Island Veterinary Medical Association, including holding the positions of President, Vice President, and Chairman of the Ethics Committee over the years. Dr. Franz was extensively involved in the veterinary emergency response efforts at the World Trade Center. He has received numerous awards recognizing his service at Ground Zero and in the veterinary community [citation].
