: Regular check-ups are crucial for maintaining your pet's health. We recommend annual wellness exams for all pets, with more frequent visits for older pets. These exams include thorough checks of the eyes, ears, oral cavity, lymph nodes, nervous system, heart, lungs, abdomen, musculoskeletal system, and skin. Diagnostic testing may be recommended if any abnormalities are found.

House Calls: We understand that some pets, especially cats, can be stressful to bring to the vet's office. That's why we offer house calls, where Dr. Stroup will come to your home to perform the necessary wellness visit and vaccinations.

Vaccinations: We tailor our vaccine programs to your pet's individual needs based on their risk of exposure. Our canine distemper vaccine, for example, provides a 3-year duration of immunity, while our feline vaccines are adjuvant-free to minimize the risk of adverse reactions.

Bloodwork and Diagnostic Testing: Regular bloodwork is recommended to screen for diseases not detectable on a physical exam. We also perform heartworm tests and recommend feline leukemia and FIV blood tests for cats that go outdoors or have recently been adopted.

Dentistry: We perform routine dental cleanings and dental surgery, providing education and products for follow-up care to ensure your pet's oral health is optimal.

Flea/Tick Control and Heartworm Preventative: We recommend year-round flea and tick control to prevent life-threatening diseases. Heartworm disease is also easily preventable with our recommended year-round preventative measures.

Internal Parasite Testing: We strongly recommend fecal exams with all examinations to prevent intestinal parasites, which pose a serious risk to both you and your pet.

General Surgery and Anesthesia: Our experienced doctors and staff use state-of-the-art monitoring equipment to ensure your pet's surgery is as safe and successful as possible.

Pet Health Education and Literature: We provide accurate and up-to-date information on your pet's health issues and tips for preventing diseases through various educational resources.

Micro-chipping: We strongly recommend micro-chipping all pets to increase the chances of reuniting lost pets with their owners. This service is available through Pinellas County Animal Services.
