About Us
The ASPCA Animal Hospital is a dedicated urgent care facility located in New York City, committed to providing critical services for animals who have been victims of cruelty and neglect. We also serve pet cats and dogs whose owners are experiencing financial challenges. Our mission is to help as many pets in New York City as possible, and we evaluate a combination of variables when determining treatment eligibility for patients.
Our Services
We offer urgent care services exclusively for cats and dogs. While we are not equipped to perform routine checkups, vaccinations, or preventive care such as heartworm, flea, and tick prevention, we can provide end-of-life services. For routine checkups, vaccinations, and preventive care, we recommend visiting the Brooklyn Community Veterinary Center for Brooklyn residents or the Bronx Community Veterinary Center for Bronx residents. For spay/neuter services, our ASPCA Mobile Spay/Neuter Clinic is available.
Eligibility and Pricing
We provide low-cost urgent care exclusively for animals whose owners’ total annual household income is $50,000 or less. However, meeting this income requirement does not guarantee financial assistance, and services are not cost-free. To apply for financial assistance, please bring one of the following documents with you: EBT CARD (Benefits card), SSI Award Letter, VA Benefits Letter, Proof of Unemployment or Workers’ Compensation, or Proof of TANF benefits (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families).
Commitment to Care
At the ASPCA Animal Hospital, we are committed to serving pets in need. We understand that financial challenges can make it difficult for pet owners to access essential veterinary care. Our doctors and staff work tirelessly to ensure that every pet receives the best possible care, regardless of their financial situation. We are dedicated to helping animals who have been victims of cruelty and neglect, and we strive to make a positive impact in the lives of our patients and their families.
COVID-19 Safety Measures
To continue serving pets in need, we ask that clients who are confirmed positive for COVID-19 or are feeling ill to please have another caregiver/family member bring their pet or wait until a later date. We prioritize the health and safety of both our patients and staff.
Our Community
The ASPCA Animal Hospital is part of a larger network of animal welfare services provided by the ASPCA. We are proud to be part of an organization that has been a leading voice for vulnerable and victimized animals since 1866. Our commitment to preventing cruelty to animals throughout the United States is unwavering, and we continue to develop innovative solutions to tackle the nation’s biggest animal welfare challenges.
We are here to help pets in need, and we invite you to join us in our mission to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals.
