About Us
At Bismarck Animal Clinic and Hospital, we are dedicated to providing high-quality veterinary care to the dogs, cats, and pocket animals in our community. Established in 1979 by Dr. Jerry Buchholz, our clinic was the first veterinary clinic in Bismarck and the state’s first exclusive small animal practice west of Fargo. Since then, we have been committed to upholding the highest standards of veterinary excellence, as evidenced by our AAHA accreditation since 1992.
Our vision is to be a model of veterinary excellence in our community, increasing the quality of life for our patients and clients while honoring the human-animal bond. Our mission is to use our knowledge, kindness, time, and compassion to serve the pets and humans in our community, providing them with individualized and high-quality care. We strive to uphold ourselves to high standards, in line with the American Animal Hospital Association and our own ethics, while being supportive of our clients and each other.
We offer a comprehensive range of services designed to meet the diverse needs of our furry friends. Our services include general wellness programs, such as annual dental exams and cleanings, vaccinations, and parasite control. We also provide diagnostic services like radiography, ultrasounds, and laboratory testing to identify any health issues early on. Our surgical services include spay and neuter procedures, soft tissue surgery, and orthopedic surgery to address various medical conditions.
In addition to our routine care, we offer emergency services for pets that require immediate attention outside of regular business hours. Our veterinarians are available to provide emergency care, ensuring that your pet receives the necessary medical attention promptly.
