At Broward County Animal Care and Adoption Center, our mission is to provide a safe and compassionate environment for animals in need. Located in Fort Lauderdale, we are dedicated to supporting the welfare of pets and their owners through a variety of programs and services.
Our Services
We offer a range of services designed to support the well-being of animals and the community. Our Adoption Center provides the opportunity for potential adopters to select and adopt pets from our many wonderful dogs and cats that need a new home. Our shelter staff also offers lost and found services to help reunite pets with their owners.
In addition to adoption services, we provide rabies vaccinations and registration tags to ensure the safety and care of pets. Our team of Animal Care Specialists enforces County and State ordinances and regulatory laws to ensure the health and well-being of all pets in our care.
Foster Care Program
We also operate a Foster Care Program, which allows individuals to provide temporary care for pets that are too young, injured, or stressed to stay at the shelter. This program is open to residents of Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties, and applicants must be at least 18 years old. Starter kits and basic medical care are provided for foster pets, and foster parents are welcome to adopt their foster pets after the fostering period is over.
Community Support
Broward County Animal Care and Adoption Center is committed to supporting the community through various initiatives. We offer spaying and neutering services for feral community cats, and our team works tirelessly to ensure the safety and care of pets through enforcement of County and State ordinances.
