At Brown County Veterinary Services, we are dedicated to providing top-notch veterinary care to the animals of our community. Located in the heart of rural Ohio, our practice is a 2 1/2 doctor office that specializes in mixed animal care. While a significant portion of our business is focused on small animals, we also have an exclusive large animal practitioner on our team.
Our mission is to offer comprehensive and personalized veterinary services that cater to the unique needs of both small and large animals. We believe in a hands-on approach to care, emphasizing the importance of diagnostic skills and treatment planning. Our experienced veterinarians, with a combined total of over 60 years of practice, are committed to ensuring that every patient receives the best possible care.
We understand that every animal is different, and we take the time to understand their specific needs and conditions. Our services include routine care, basic surgery, and diagnostic procedures such as bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal exams, and radiology. While we do not offer advanced imaging services like CT scans or MRI, we have in-house blood machines and basic ultrasound capabilities to support our diagnostic efforts.
At Brown County Veterinary Services, we are passionate about developing the examination skills of our students. We offer offsite electives for veterinary students, providing them with hands-on experience in a rural mixed animal practice. Our focus is on teaching students the importance of using their minds and exam skills to come up with a diagnostic plan and possible treatment options before moving on to further testing.
