About Us
At Campbell County Animal Services, we are dedicated to providing a safe and compassionate environment for animals in need. Our mission is to safeguard public health and safety while promoting responsible pet ownership. We strive to protect the community’s animals from abuse and neglect, and we are committed to ending the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable animals.
We offer a range of services designed to support both animals and their owners. Our animal control services ensure that domestic animals are cared for and controlled within the community. We provide humane sheltering and care for animals, ensuring they receive the necessary attention and treatment. Additionally, we promote responsible pet ownership through education and outreach programs.
We are proud to serve not only the unincorporated areas of Campbell County but also several cities through an interlocal agreement, including Bellevue, Cold Spring, Fort Thomas, Highland Heights, Melbourne, Silver Grove, Southgate, and Wilder. Our services include licensing dogs, which serve as identification for lost or stray dogs, and we encourage all dog owners to renew their licenses annually.
We believe in the importance of community involvement and offer opportunities for volunteers to join us in our mission. Volunteers are expected to commit to a minimum of 4 hours a month for a 6-month commitment and are responsible for scheduling their shifts at least one week in advance. By volunteering with us, you can make a significant difference in the lives of the animals in our care.
Our commitment to animal welfare extends beyond our shelter. We also offer resources for community cat spay/neuter programs, aiming to reduce the number of stray cats in our community and promote their well-being.
At Campbell County Animal Services, we are passionate about creating a better future for animals and the people who care about them. We invite you to join us in our mission to make a positive impact on the lives of animals in need.
